Dr. Gary Owens has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare management.
He served as the Vice President of Medical Management and Policy at Independence Blue Cross for 22 years with responsibilities for medical and pharmacy management, technology evaluation and medical policy.
Forming his own consulting practice in 2007, Dr. Owens provides strategic and tactical consulting services to a wide range of clients including pharmaceutical manufacturers, device manufacturers and other developers of new technology.
He has presented extensively on managed care, including at conferences of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), the National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP), and the Association for Value-Based Cancer Care. He has written more than 130 articles and editorials on managed care, pharmacy, and technology evaluation, which have been published in national journals.
Satish Malnaik is a technology and venture creation enthusiast driven by a passion for innovation.
He is CEO and co-founder of NextServices, leading a global team delivering a revenue cycle and health record platform in addition to digital health care applications that blend technology, analytics, and knowledge-based services for the global healthcare market.
Malnaik also serves as an advisor and mentor at the Desai Accelerator, a collaborative effort of The Center for Entrepreneurship and the Zell Lurie Institute at Michigan Ross School of Business, collaborating with early stage ventures to advance to a funding-ready stage.
He also serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and advisor to early stage startups. He is on the HIMSS Blockchain in Healthcare Task Force and in the EHR Stakeholder Group of the ASCA (Ambulatory Surgery Center Association).
Mr. Betel is the founder and President of the Fatty Liver Alliance (fattyliver.ca), and Executive Director of HepCURE, and has been a leader in the area of liver disease, in both commercial and not-for-profit organizations for over 25 years, as a Director at Hoffmann-La Roche and Canadian Blood Services, and a sales and marketing leader at Schering-Plough. He was a director on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Liver Foundation for 9 years, and a long-standing member of CASL (Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver).
