The poster entitled “Accuracy of Velacur™️ AI Powered Liver Guide in Identification of Liver” presented at the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) Conference in San Diego, California received a Poster of Distinction Award.
The poster reported on results from a multi-center study carried out to assess the performance of a new AI powered liver guide being developed for use with Velacur™️ to provide users a clear visual of where the liver is located. Velacur is a novel, ultrasound-based solution used to measure liver stiffness and attenuation. As this type of non-invasive testing for liver disease becomes widespread and part of clinical care pathways, it is important that these tests are accurate and easy to use by all types of medical staff.
The results showed that the investigational AI powered liver guide provides accurate guidance to non-expert users on where the liver is located within the image. Initial usability testing also showed increases in user confidence and a decreased learning curve, with fewer user errors during scanning.
